After you have started your Outlook Express, Click on Tools> Accounts. Then Click on Add> Mail. Then follow directions listed below.
1. Display name:
Type whatever name you wish. Could even be just your first name if you like.
2. E-mail address:
Use you e-mail address assigned to you. Example: joe@yourpagemaker.com
3. Incoming mail server type:
Should be left at default wich is POP3.
Incoming mail server:
Outgoing mail server:
Both of these will be the same. It will start with "mail." then your domain name and
at the end will be ".com" or ".net"
Example: mail.yourpagemaker.com or mail.yourpagemaker.net
Note: Do not use the @ sign for the period. This is wrong: mail@yourpagemaker.com :(
4. Account name: and Password:
Account name should be your whole email address. Example: joe@yourpagemaker.com
The password should be whatever has been given to you or if you changed it then use
the new one.
The "Log on using Secure Password" check box should be unchecked by default. Leave it like that.
The "My server requires authentication" will be unchecked by default and it should be checked. If you get an error while trying to send an email, then you may need to go back into Tools> Accounts> Properties then the server tab of the account and uncheck it.
5. Click Finish will send you back to the "Internet Accounts" window.
6. Close the accounts window and you should now be able to send and recieve emails with the new account.
1. In your Internet explorer or Netscape browser type in the url: mail.YourDomainName.com or .net.
Example: mail.yourpagemaker.com or mail.yourpagemaker.net
2. Type in your full email address in the first box and the password you were assigned.
Click on "Login" at the bottom.
3. Go to "Settings" at the top and click on "My Settings".
4. Go down to "New password" box and type your new password.
Go down to "Confirm password" and type your new password again.
5. Click on "Save" at the top left and your Finished.
6. Only you will know this new password. If you forget it the administrator can only reset
it to a new password for you.
